Na última segunda-feira, dia 10, foram revelados os nomes das indicações ao Billboard Music Awards 2017. A premiação, uma das mais importantes do mundo da música, acontece no dia 21 de maio, em Las Vegas.
Beyoncé, que lançou LEMONADE em abril do ano passado, aparece em oito categorias devido ao seu novo disco e também turnê. Na semana de divulgação, o álbum foi o mais vendido nos Estados Unidos, além de ter se tornado um dos mais vendidos do ano no país.
Com 49 apresentações, a Formation World Tour foi a turnê mais bem sucedida de 2016, arrecadando cerca de 259 milhões de dólares. Por isso, Beyoncé aparece nas categorias de Melhor Artista da Billboard 200, Melhor Artista R&B, Melhor Artista em Turnê, Melhor Álbum da Billboard 200, Melhor Álbum R&B e Melhor Turnê R&B.
Além disso, a norte-americana concorre com Adele como Melhor Artista e Melhor Artista Feminina. Com 14 indicações, Rihanna é a artista feminina mais indicada no Billboard Music Awards 2017.
